Modular exhibition stands, reused show after show

Modular is how a booth gets reused. We own the kit, you rent what each show needs, and we measure the carbon.

Modular is a means, not the claim

A modular system is a set of standard parts that can be configured into different booths: frames, panels, flooring, lighting. Because the parts are standard they fit the next floor plan as well as this one. That is the whole point. A modular booth built for one show and binned afterwards is no better than a custom one.

What makes a booth reusable

Three things. The structure is standard, so it is not shaped to one floor plan. The finishes are separate from the structure, so graphics, surfaces and furniture can change without rebuilding the frame. And someone keeps the kit, stores it, checks it and has it ready for the next brief. The third decides whether reuse happens at all.

We hold the kit. You rent what each show needs.

We buy modular systems into our own stock at our workshop in west London: Aluvision, BeMatrix and Octanorm. Custom pieces we build for a programme, such as counters, shelving and planters, are held the same way. You rent what a show needs, at that show and every show after. Storage, maintenance and refurbishment are ours.

What reuse looks like in practice

CBRE's ICSC booth in Las Vegas is the clearest published example. It measured 39,912 kg CO2e in 2023 and 12,613 kg in 2025, a 68% reduction on the same programme for the same client. That is 2.66 kg CO2e down to 0.84 kg per square foot.

At Red Bull's Drift Pursuit event in July 2025, 99% of production materials by weight were rented or reused. New material came to 52 kg.

How far modular takes the carbon

In our experience, moving from custom to modular and sourcing locally removes around 75% of a booth's carbon at best.

The CBRE result sits inside that ceiling. The remainder needs other levers, such as freight and energy, and we measure those too. Our carbon measurement page explains how.

Who this suits

Brands running booth programmes across several shows and several years, where the saving compounds. If you exhibit once and never again, a single-use booth is the better choice and we will say so. See also our sustainable exhibition stands page.

Common questions

What is a modular exhibition stand?

A booth built from standard, interchangeable parts, such as frames, panels and flooring, rather than fabricated once for a single show. The same parts can be reconfigured for a different size or floor plan.

Are modular exhibition stands reusable?

They can be, but only if the kit is kept, checked and redeployed. A modular booth bought for one show and discarded is not reuse. We hold the kit in our own stock so that reuse actually happens.

Can a modular booth look bespoke?

Yes. The structure is standard. Graphics, surfaces, furniture, planting and lighting are designed for your brand and the show.

Do we have to buy the kit?

No. We buy it into our own stock and you rent what each show needs. You do not store, refurbish or dispose of anything.

Do you work outside the UK?

Yes. UK and European shows are produced in our own workshop. Elsewhere we work through more than 120 partners across 27 cities and four continents.

Figures are indicative, produced with our own in-house methodology and not independently audited. Third-party verification can be arranged on any project.

Send us the brief for your next show

We will come back with a design, and the carbon and cost comparison against what you are building now. Ten working days. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
